Partners of the MARINET<\/strong> project\u2014including the University of Udine<\/strong> (UNIUD), Croatian Veterinary Institute<\/strong> (VEINST), Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale delle Venezie<\/strong> (IZSVE), University of Rijeka – Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management <\/strong>(FTHM), Mediterranean Aquaculture Association<\/strong> (A.M.A.), and the Chamber of Crafts and Trades of the Istrian County<\/strong>\u2014attended the 16th International CROFISH Fair<\/strong>, held from November 22 to 24, 2024, at the \u017datika Sports Hall in Pore\u010d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the fair, the MARINET<\/strong> team presented the objectives of the project, highlighting innovations in sustainable aquaculture with a particular focus on oyster farming<\/strong> and the application of integrated aquaculture systems<\/strong>. Visitors had the opportunity to learn more about the ecological and nutritional benefits of oysters and participate in a survey designed to collect insights into consumer behavior and perceptions regarding oysters and integrated aquaculture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CROFISH<\/strong> International Fair attracted over 5,000 visitors and 100 exhibitors from across Europe, providing an excellent opportunity for project promotion, knowledge exchange, and engagement with key stakeholders in the aquaculture sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
