class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>On Monday, April 28, 2025, the promotion of the book <strong>&#8220;Breaking Barriers: Designing Inclusive Tourist Destinations&#8221; <\/strong>was held at the library of the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Authors Jelena \u0110urkin Badurina, Nata\u0161a Kova\u010di\u0107, Hana Paleka, and Daniela Soldi\u0107 Frleta provide analysis, examples, and recommendations on how to make tourism accessible to all, without exception.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reviewer Prof. Dr. Dora Smol\u010di\u0107 Jurdana emphasized that the book represents a valuable contribution to the development of tourism, offering a systematic approach to the topic and practical guidelines for shaping accessible and inclusive destinations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The book highlights that accessibility is not a special type of tourism, but a fundamental right of all visitors and an opportunity for local communities to grow through fairer and more sustainable development.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The SITE project &#8211; Shaping Inclusive Tourist Experiences, funded by the Interreg Italy &#8211; Croatia 2021 &#8211; 2027 programme, was also presented, promoting the application of universal design and inclusivity in tourism.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Accessible tourism is not just a technical issue \u2014 it is a question of the values we choose to live by. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure
