At the BLMM2025 international conference<\/em> of the Faculty of Economics and Business in Osijek<\/em>, Croatia, Associate Professor Nata\u0161a Moreti presented a scientific paper entitled Air Travel for All \u2013 The Accessibility of Airports<\/em><\/strong>. This paper was the result of the SITE – Shaping Inclusive Tourist Experiences<\/em><\/strong> project, and its aim was to promote the necessity of creating inclusive tourist experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A significant discrepancy has been identified between the regulatory framework and professional guidelines for air passenger transport and practice concerning the physical and informational accessibility of international airports. In light of the accessibility regulation and guidelines pertaining to air transport and tourism, a framework has been proposed. This framework outlines simple (“reasonable accommodation”) solutions designed to enhance air travel accessibility for all individuals seeking to travel, including those with disabilities. By adapting the airport and removing barriers (in accordance with the principles of Universal Design), it becomes a more inclusive space. This scientific paper proposes a manner in which to comply with regulation and guidelines whilst meeting the needs of passengers with reduced mobility – without excessive interventions in the infrastructure and budgetary burden for airports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

International scientific conference Business Logistics in Modern Management <\/em>is organized by Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, Faculty of Economics and Business in Osijek for 25 consecutive years and traditionally brings scientists and experts engaged in problems of business logistics and supply chain management of goods and services together with the purpose of exchanging ideas and opinions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
