Ten students from the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management, accompanied by Jelena \u0110urkin Badurina, Hana Paleka and Daniela Soldi\u0107 Frleta, took part in the international summer school \u201cGreen Destinations in Action: where theory becomes solutions\u201d. Summer school was held from 11 to 15 May 2026 in Eger (Hungary), as part of the project \u201cEnhancing Green Tourism Education in Higher Education through the Development of Alternative Learning Opportunities\u201d (GreenTEA, ID 2023-1-HU01-KA220-HED-000156471). In total, 44 students from Croatia, Finland, Hungary and Portugal participated in the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The programme included theoretical lectures and collaborative sections focusing on green destination management, best practices in sustainable tourism. Jelena \u0110urkin Badurina, Hana Paleka and Daniela Soldi\u0107 Frleta contributed as lecturers and sections\u2019 moderators. The summer school also featured field trips to Lake Tisza and B\u00fckk National Park Szilv\u00e1sv\u00e1rad, where participants were introduced to good practices in the sustainable management of protected areas and natural heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participation in the summer school strengthened international cooperation and enhanced FTHM students\u2019 competences in the field of sustainable and green tourism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
