In the period from April 24th to 26th, 2024, the 5th international statistical conference – ISCCRO’2024 called “DATA ANALYTICS: FUTURE CAREER ON DEMAND” was held at the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management. The conference was held in cooperation with the Croatian Statistical Society and the Zagreb Faculty of Economics.
The plenary presentation was held by prof. Mario Holzner from the Institute for International Economics, Vienna, Austria on the topic “Major structural challenges for Central, East and Southeast Europe – can registered data tell the full story?”
The next day, April 25th a panel discussion was held on the topic “Dynamic panel data: Theoretical properties vs popularity in empirical papers” by prof. Blanke Škrabić Perić from the Faculty of Economics in Split. As a continuation of the activity, associate professor Ph.D. Tomislav Globan from the Faculty of Economics in Zagreb held a panel discussion on “Statistics in Sport”.
During three days, the scientific research of domestic and foreign colleagues from various fields was presented, and as part of the conference, research and methodological workshops for doctoral students were held.
In the organization and work of the conference participated assoc.prof. Ph.D. Sabina Hodžić, assistant professor Ph.D. Jelena Mušanović, senior assistant Ph.D. Tanja Fatur Šikić and Ph.D. Jelena Dorčić with the support of the dean prof. Ph.D. Marko Perić. We thank everyone for their engagement!
