The Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management in Opatija strives to strengthen its cooperation with the business entities and the public sector (enterprises, local communities, ministries, tourist boards and associations, the civil society) as well as to prepare professional projects, write expert reports, analyses, to provide research and development services, business consultancy, project reviews and audits. These activities contribute to the proactive role of the Faculty in the society, as well as to its own reputation as an institution that should and must be active partner in the society.
The abovementioned cooperation has multiple benefits: it ensures knowledge transfer from science to business, provides better conditions for students to gain practical skills and competences and increases income-financial connections.
In addition to scientific and teaching staff, students are also involved in projects in order to better develop their competences and skills and to enable them to have a contact with the real sector.
