The event will start at 12 PM.

The meeting will be attended by members of the project team from the University of Udine, the main project partner, as well as other project partners: Croatian Veterinary Institute, Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale delle Venezie, Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management of the University of Rijeka, Chamber of Crafts and Trades of Istrian Region, and the Mediterranean Aquaculture Association. Additionally, the presence of other stakeholders important for the project implementation is expected, including the Croatian Agency for Agriculture and Food, the Agricultural Sector of the Croatian Chamber of Economy, the Service for Aquaculture at the Directorate of Fisheries of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Administrative Department for Tourism, Entrepreneurship and Rural Development of Primorje – Gorski Kotar County, and the Administrative Department for Agriculture, Forestry, Hunting, Fisheries and Water Management of the Istria County.

The MARINET project addresses common challenges specific to the aquaculture sector and aims to improve biosecurity, environmental sustainability and the economy of Adriatic cross-border regions by testing integrated fish and shellfish farming. One of the goals of the project is to shift consumer mindset about the acceptability of aquaculture products based on their proven nutritional value, quality, and safety. The project approach will be based on the collaboration between scientific and industrial partners, and knowledge transfer between cross-border regions. All interested parties are warmly invited to join and support this important project.
