The annual meeting of the CROCUS project consortium – Cross-Border Cultural and Creative Tourism in Rural and Remote Areas – was held at the University of Maribor from 25 to 27 June 2025. The meeting was attended by project partners from Slovenia, Croatia, Italy, Finland, Denmark, Hungary, Estonia and Bulgaria.
The presentations of the project partners showed significant progress in achieving the project objectives and implementing the work packages so far. Guidelines for the continuation of joint research were also defined, with an emphasis on the development of business models that support cultural and creative tourism in rural and remote areas.
The Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management was represented by prof.dr.sc. Zrinka Zadel, prof.dr.sc. Dora Smolčić Jurdana and prof.dr.sc. Elena Rudan.
