The Faculty of Management in Tourism and Hospitality, in cooperation with the STEP RI Science and Technology Park of the University of Rijeka, held a workshop on Monday, 26 January 2026, where ideas were developed that contributed to establishing the foundation for new, sustainable tourism and cultural initiatives in the cross-border region of Matulji – Ilirska Bistrica.
Stakeholders from the cultural and tourism sectors, tourism entrepreneurs, development agencies, and active citizens participated in the workshop.
The workshop was organised as part of the CROCUS – Cross-Border Cultural and Creative Tourism and Remote Areas project, funded by the Horizon Europe programme.
