The Faculty of Management in Tourism and Hospitality participated in this year’s B2Run Rijeka race, an event that brings together the business and academic community through sport, team spirit, and the promotion of an active lifestyle.
Yesterday, for the fifth time and now as a tradition, our employees took part in the B2Run race in Rijeka and once again demonstrated that team spirit knows no boundaries, neither in the workplace nor on the track. This year, nine employees represented the Faculty: Krešimir Mikinac, Jelena Dorčić, Nataša Moreti, Marina Laškarin Ažić, Maša Trinajstić, Sandra Kukić, Lucija Nikić, Nina Mezak and Dea Dević. We are particularly proud of the fact that our women’s team finished 2nd place in the medium-sized companies category.
Under the playful slogan “FMTU – Physically Torturing Ourselves for Nothing,” we set off for the race, but the results proved that the effort was far from wasted. This achievement reflects the values we nurture at FMTU in our everyday work: perseverance, mutual support, a sense of community, and readiness to take on challenges.
Participation in the B2Run race is, for us, more than just a sporting event. It is an opportunity to strengthen organisational culture, foster connections, and present the Faculty as a community. Moments like these remind us that success is built step by step, through dedication, motivation, and a shared goal.
We congratulate all our participants on their outstanding performance, and especially our runners on their remarkable result. We also extend our gratitude to everyone who contributed to yet another wonderful representation of FMTU in the community. See you next year!
