Around sixty teachers from Belgrade, Vrnjačka Banja and Zlatibor (Čajetina) visited the Faculty of Management in Tourism and Hospitality in Opatija. In cooperation with FMTU, Predrag Obradović, Marketing and PR Manager at Singidunum University in Belgrade, coordinated the visit, with the aim of learning about the Faculty’s work and exchanging experiences in tourism workforce education.
The Faculty was presented by Vice-Dean for Development Prof. Marinela Krstinić Nižić, PhD, and Vice-Dean for International Cooperation Assoc. Prof. Siniša Bogdan, PhD, who introduced the guests to the study programmes, enrolment conditions, and accommodation and dining options. Particular emphasis was placed on the role of the Career and Professional Practice Centre, which successfully connects students with employers and meets the high demand for qualified professionals in the sector.
The guests presented their own institutions — the School of Tourism and Hospitality from Belgrade, the School of Tourism and Hospitality from Vrnjačka Banja, and the School of Tourism and Hospitality from Čajetina (Zlatibor) — highlighting their long tradition in tourism education, in-house hospitality facilities for student practice, and new initiatives such as an adult training centre in Vrnjačka Banja.
The meeting concluded with a discussion on potential cooperation and participation in international projects. We thank our colleagues from Serbia for their visit and the interest shown in the Faculty and future collaboration.
