The 23rd International Congress of Nutrition (IUNS-ICN 2025), one of the world’s most prestigious events in the field of nutrition, was held in Paris from August 24 to 29, 2025. The congress brought together 3,835 participants from around the world and featured 7 plenary sessions, 36 special lectures, and 155 scientific symposia.

The congress theme, “Sustainable Food for Global Health”, was at the centre of discussions on the impact of diet on public health and the environment, future nutrition recommendations, and sustainable food systems.

Representatives from our Faculty, Prof. Greta Krešić, PhD and Elena Dujmić, presented a poster titled “Nutritional value of European flat oyster (Ostrea edulis)”, developed within the MARINET project. This work contributes to the valorization of native marine resources and offers valuable data for future research and development.

IUNS-ICN 2025 provided a unique opportunity to exchange the latest scientific insights in the field of nutrition, while also enabling the dissemination of the MARINET project results to the wider international community.
