The Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management together with Croatian Veterinary Institute presented the MARINET project at IUFoST 2024 – 22nd World Congress of Food Science and Technology, held from September 8th to 12th, 2024, in Rimini, Italy. This global event, regarded as one of the most significant in the field of food science, brought together 1,500 delegates from around the world, including leading experts, researchers, and professionals, to discuss innovative developments and emerging trends in the sector.
Under the theme “The Future of Food is Now: Development, Functionality & Sustainability”, the congress provided a platform for exploring critical topics shaping the future of food science. Key discussions encompassed nutrition, food safety, consumer science, product development, new processes and technologies, functional foods and meat analogues, as well as sustainability within food systems.
Members of the FTHM project team, Prof. Greta Krešić, PhD and Elena Dujmić presented two poster presentations that showcased the preliminary results of the MARINET project. IUFoST 2024 offered a great opportunity to connect with experts from around the world and share research findings related to the MARINET project, which is closely aligned with the congress’s key themes of sustainability and innovation.
