As part of Kvarner’s candidacy for the European Gastronomic Region in 2026, the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management in Opatija was visited by members of the Expert Jury IGCAT – International Institute of Gastronomy, Culture, Arts and Tourism, a non-profit organization that awards a title that promotes excellence in tourism and gastronomy.
On behalf of IGCAT, Kvarner was visited by Sari Kaasinen from Finland, Barbara Zmrzlikar from Slovenia, Jens Storti from Norway, Jaume Gomila from Spain, IGCAT President Diane Dodd and two other IGCAT representatives, Fabrizia Toccoli and Raul Torres.
