Institute for Management of the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management, University of Rijeka organized the “International week at the Institute for Management 2023” that took place in Opatija, Croatia, between 22–26 May, 2023. The purpose of the international week was to enhance and intensify the international collaboration primarily among researchers and professors in the field of management, organization and entrepreneurship.
Kristina Črnjar, PhD, Full Professor, as a Head of the Institute, together with Marko Perić, PhD, Full Professor, as a Vice Dean for International Affairs, addressed more than 25 international academic and non-academic staff, members of the Institute and students engaged in the projects and activities. After the presentation of the key points on internationalization Simona Šarotar Žižek, PhD, Full Professor and Head of Institute for management and organization, University of Maribor (Slovenia), currently spending her long time mobility at the Institute, held a lecture titled “HRM challenges and answers in the light of sustainability and responsibility” after which a discussion took place among participants.
During the week lectures, presentation and meetings took place at the Institute. A number of international guest professors held lectures covering the topics of leadership in multicultural, importance of HRM in contemporary business, sustainability in entrepreneurship, organisational management models etc. After the official program participants were invited to the town of Opatija in order to learn more about the towns history.
