The Library of the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management began its work as a small department with about a hundred books in 1960.
Fund: The largest and most significant part of our fund consists of publications from fields of tourism and hospitality, but we have contains literature from all areas of economics, especially management. Our fund is considered the largest collection of books and journals in the field of hotel management in the Republic of Croatia. We are subscribed to most of the relevant world journals in the field of tourism, hospitality and management.

Once a month we conduct user training sessions on the efficient use of library catalogues, databases and other information sources. After consultation with the user, we also have the possibility to conduct individual training sessions.

It acquires, processes, lends and mediates the most up-to-date information sources, especially in the field of tourism and hospitality. DABAR – Croatian Digital Theses Repository
The National Theses Repository (ZIR) was established in the National and University Library in Zagreb for permanent storage and public access to all theses defended in the Republic of Croatia. The national repository combines the content of all repositories of final theses of higher education institutions – universities, faculties, polytechnics and colleges. ZIR was established by the cooperation of the National and University Library in Zagreb and SRCA and several libraries of higher education institutions.
DABAR – Croatian Digital Dissertations Repository
The National Repository of Dissertations and Scientific Master’s Theses (DR) was established in the National and University Library in Zagreb for permanent storage and public access to all dissertations/doctoral theses defended in the Republic of Croatia. The national repository combines the content of all dissertation repositories of higher education institutions in the Republic of Croatia. The repository was established by the cooperation of the National and University Library in Zagreb and SRCA and several libraries of higher education institutions. In addition to modern dissertations, the DR National Repository also collects and stores older dissertations (originally digital and digitized) and scientific master’s theses.
Digital library of the University of Rijeka
The digital library brings together all types of works from all components of the University of Rijeka that are stored and published in component repositories. The digital library gathers all types of works, from final theses of students at all levels of study (final, graduate and doctoral theses) to author’s works in magazines, conference proceedings, book chapters, books, research data, educational content, presentations from meetings and everything other types of works stored in the repositories of the components of the University of Rijeka.

Summon
By using a single search field through the discovery service Summon, a unified search of all available subscription e-sources in the national license, e-sources available at individual Croatian universities, e-sources in open access, and in the near future the collective digital repository Dabar is possible . The advantages of a unified search through the discovery service are easier and faster finding of relevant results, greater visibility and availability of the complete text in various e-sources, availability of contact information for user inquiries and information on interlibrary loan options in one place, etc.

CAB Abstracts
A bibliographic database published by CABI Publishing containing more than 10 million records beginning in 1973 to the present, more than 350,000 records added to the database annually, and including full texts for more than 550,000 articles from 10,000 serials with fields of applied biotechnical sciences including agriculture, forestry, nutrition, veterinary medicine, environmental sciences and related disciplines. The database is accessible through the EBSCOhost interface.
DOAJ
Directory of open access journals is a comprehensive collection of scientific and professional journals in open access. It tries to cover all scientific areas, while paying attention to the quality of the content. Journals must have a review process or quality control by the editorial board. The database currently includes over 2,000 journals with access to the full text.
DOAR
OpenDOAR is the world’s largest directory of institutional repositories in open access (repositories of universities, institutes…). It covers all scientific fields, and the repositories contain different types of works (articles, doctoral theses, reports…).
E-Library
UNWTO’s online service that includes content from tourism and other related areas. Areas cover topics from ecotourism and sustainable development, tourism statistics, market research, innovation and new technologies. The E-Library contains books, journals and statistical reports by country and indicator. You can access it from the faculty computers and for remote access please contact knjiznica@fthm.hr.
EFZG digital library
A library of online collections of digital materials (monographs, articles, works…) created by the Faculty of Economics of the University of Zagreb and members of this community, and is an integral part of the services of the Library and Documentation Center of the Faculty. It was created on an open source software package. The mission of the EFZG Digital Library is to provide reliable, long-term access to managed digital resources to students and employees of the Faculty of Economics – Zagreb. The collection also includes the digital contents of the Faculty of Economics in Rijeka and our Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management. Full text database. It covers all scientific fields. We have access to materials that are in open access. Several well-known magazines from the field of tourism and hospitality are represented, such as the International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management and Tourism Review, as well as the International Journal of Culture, Tourism and Hospitality Research, the International Journal of Event and Festival Management, the Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Technology and Worldwide Hospitality and Tourism Themes.

Google Scholar or Google Znalac is not a database but a search engine that offers the possibility of searching various sources of academic literature. Access is free.

Research Papers in Economics is a database that covers the field of economics and other related fields. Includes pre-print versions of papers, journal articles, book chapters or entire books. In addition to numerous foreign journals, the database also includes Croatian journals, e.g. Financial Theory and Practice, Proceedings of the Faculty of Economics in Rijeka, Zagreb International Review of Economics and Business, Croatian Economic Survey, as well as our journal Tourism and Hospitality Management.

More than 1,100 journals covering the humanities, social sciences, biomedicine and health, technical and natural sciences are available within the SAGE Premier collection. Access is available through the national license of the National and University Library in Zagreb.

ScienceDirect is a database of complete texts and bibliographic information. It covers the fields of natural, technical, medical and social sciences. It provides access to over 2,500 journals, a large part of which is published by Elsevier, but also over 10,000 books. The database contains important magazines from the field of tourism. We subscribe to the four most important magazines in the field of tourism:

The Social Science Research Network is a research network that covers the field of social sciences and enables the exchange of research and scientific papers on a global level. It consists of specialized research networks for each of the social sciences. In addition to summaries, the network also contains complete texts in PDF.

In the Taylor & Francis Subject Collections database, we have access to journal titles in the fields of Tourism, Hospitality and Events, Environment and Sustainability, Economics, Finance, Business & Industry, etc. Access is available through the national license of the National and university libraries in Zagreb.

Multidisciplinary database with more than 1400 journals. We have access to the Wiley Standard Journal Collection. The e-book collection contains more than 950 multidisciplinary titles, including manuals, monographs and textbooks, and within the e-journal collection, more than 120 titles in the field of natural and technical sciences and the field of biomedicine are available, indexed in the Science Citation Index, Journal Citation Reports/Science Edition , MEDLINE/Index Medicus, PubMed, Scopus, Chemical Abstracts, EMBASE, etc.
DOAB
Directory of open access books is a collection of books in open access. Among the publishers are higher education institutions, but also renowned publishers such as Springer. Before publication, publications are screened to ensure they meet academic standards and undergo a peer review process. Publications can be found in several world languages. The goal of the repository is to increase the visibility and faster dissemination of scientific content.
Edward Elgar Publishing
They publish open access content from a variety of fields including law, business and social sciences, and includes whole books, individual book chapters.
Google books
Search the world’s most comprehensive index of complete books. Google Books is a Google service that searches the full text of books and magazines scanned by Google, converting them to text using optical character recognition (OCR), and storing them in its digital database. Google has partnered with a number of magazine publishers to digitize their archives.
JSTOR Open Access eBooks
More than 500 e-books are available in open access. The titles are made available for use under Creative Commons licenses, are free to download and do not contain DRM restrictions regarding the download of the entire content as well as its printing.
Open Culture
The website was launched in 2006 to gather free and quality online content. Available contents such as audio books, 1000 free audio titles from fiction and other fields , also have around 800 e-books available .
Project Gutenberg
Project Gutenberg (PG) is a volunteer effort to digitize and archive cultural works, as well as to “encourage the creation and distribution of e-books.” All files can be accessed for free in an open format, available on almost any computer. As of October 3, 2015, Project Gutenberg has reached 50,000 items in its collection of free e-books.
ProQuest eBook Central
The platform includes a collection of purchased e-books that are accessible at the university level. Access is enabled via the IP address of the Faculty, and for remote access use aai@edu.hr (electronic data).
Springer Open Access package
Springer publishes open access books and chapters. They helped pioneer open access book publishing, first launching open access book publishing in 2011. They publish open access books in a wide range of fields in science, technology, medicine, and the humanities and social sciences.
