Partners of the MARINET project—including the University of Udine (UNIUD), Croatian Veterinary Institute (VEINST), Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale delle Venezie (IZSVE), University of Rijeka – Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management (FTHM), Mediterranean Aquaculture Association (A.M.A.), and the Chamber of Crafts and Trades of the Istrian County—attended the 16th International CROFISH Fair, held from November 22 to 24, 2024, at the Žatika Sports Hall in Poreč.
During the fair, the MARINET team presented the objectives of the project, highlighting innovations in sustainable aquaculture with a particular focus on oyster farming and the application of integrated aquaculture systems. Visitors had the opportunity to learn more about the ecological and nutritional benefits of oysters and participate in a survey designed to collect insights into consumer behavior and perceptions regarding oysters and integrated aquaculture.
The CROFISH International Fair attracted over 5,000 visitors and 100 exhibitors from across Europe, providing an excellent opportunity for project promotion, knowledge exchange, and engagement with key stakeholders in the aquaculture sector.
