The study programme Hospitality Management is the result of the effort to adapt the contents of the education of future managers in this industry to modern trends and technological innovations in the hotel industry, taking into account globalisation processes, new forms of organisation and changed relationships in the supply and demand structure in the tourism target market. Special emphasis is placed on those programme contents that relate to the specific requirements of the hotel industry, taking into account the special features of hotel groups, hotel chains, but also small hotels, which are becoming increasingly important in the tourism offer.

Aim of the study programme
The aim of the study programme is to train students for management tasks in the hotel industry, with a focus on strategic and business management.
Competences acquired upon completion of the programme
- Mastery of knowledge in the field of tourism.
- Ability to research trends and improve business models in the hotel industry.
- Ability to independently manage business processes in the hotel industry.
- Ability to formulate and implement development strategies, business plans and budgets in the hotel industry.
- Application of information and communication technology in business.
- Ability to monitor and apply laws and standards in the hotel industry.
- Ability to monitor and evaluate key indicators in the hotel industry.
- Assumption of team and individual responsibility for the implementation of the project idea.
Upon completion of this programme, students will develop general competencies such as the ability to think abstractly, think critically, develop new ideas, identify and solve problems, plan and manage time, continuously improve, work independently and other skills.
Possibility of employment
Upon graduation, employment opportunities are open to you in the hotel industry in Croatia as a growing sector of the economy, as the study programme is designed to provide relevant knowledge, skills and competences for performing various jobs in the hotel industry, with a focus on managerial roles in sales, housekeeping, catering, hospitality and the provision of other tourism services in the hotel. Experience shows that previous graduates have been successful in new, creative professions where the definition of a hotel product aimed at specific target markets is required. The knowledge acquired during this study programme ensures the successful management of small and medium-sized business systems (especially for business management in the hotel industry) on the one hand, and large business systems (especially for strategic management in the hotel industry) on the other hand, because the aforementioned knowledge builds on previously acquired knowledge through undergraduate study programmes. Concrete knowledge acquired during the undergraduate studies and then during the graduate studies of this profile is particularly valued in large hotel companies.

Possibility to continue studies
