The Marketing in Tourism programme has been developed with the aim of providing students with teaching content that ensures better communication with the tourism market, so that the tourism product finds its way to the customer, is successfully marketed and ensures the company or destination a better position compared to the competition. The programme is designed to train future managers in the tourism, hospitality, hotel and public sectors. The focus is on developing specific knowledge, skills and competences in the field of marketing in tourism.

The aim of the study programme
The aim of the study programme is to train students to become marketing managers in tourism, hospitality, the public sector and other economic sectors.
Competences acquired upon completion of the study programme
- Mastery of knowledge in the field of tourism and marketing in tourism.
- Ability to research the market and identify new trends in tourism and hospitality.
- The ability to independently manage complex communication and other marketing activities in tourism.
- The ability to apply information and communication technology in business.
- The ability to analyse and interpret key indicators for marketing activities.
- The ability to formulate a marketing strategy to strengthen the competitiveness of the destination and the holistic tourism product.
- Independence in carrying out business activities related to events and specific forms of tourism.
- Have team and individual responsibility in preparing a project proposal and implementing the project idea.
Upon completion of this programme, students will develop general competencies such as the ability to think abstractly, think critically, generate new ideas, identify and solve problems, plan and manage time, continuous improvement, independence in work and other skills.
Possibility of employment
The programme of this graduate degree is designed to provide relevant knowledge for the implementation of marketing activities in the tourism sector, which must be developed in modern conditions in accordance with modern trends in the development of tourism. Thus, this Master of Economics profile will be able to fill important positions in tourism communities, tourism organisations, travel agencies, tourism associations, in the hotel industry, in the hospitality industry, but also in education, in the municipal system, in the media, in all selective forms of tourism supply, in supporting industries, in financial institutions, in accounting and control services and in other organisations that require specific knowledge in the field of marketing.
