The Lifelong Learning Programme for Foreign Languages in Tourism for Beginners is for anyone who wants to start learning German, Italian and/or French for the tourism profession at the basic level. Classes are held in an online environment. All lectures are recorded and available to all participants at any time for additional revision and confirmation of the material.
This programme aims to provide basic language tools (vocabulary and grammar) and skills (listening and reading comprehension, speaking and writing) as basic requirements for acquiring communication competence in the tourism profession.
The teaching is based on a communicative approach, which allows for a quick application of the learned material in communicative situations in the real tourism industry. It is also important to introduce general language elements, taking into account the topic of everyday situations
Each programme has a duration of 30 hours, and the dynamics of the programme are adapted to the needs of the participants.
Upon completion of the programme, participants acquire 3 ECTS credits after passing the final exam and receive a corresponding certificate from the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management.
The Lifelong Learning Business Communication in Tourism in Foreign Languages programme offers the acquisition of specialised terminology and grammatical structures used in oral and written business communication in tourism in English, German, Italian and/or French. Classes are held in an online environment. All lectures are recorded and available to all participants at any time for additional revision and confirmation of the material.
Participants will be able to develop communication competence in a specific foreign language in the field of business communication in tourism with a special focus on intercultural communication.
Upon completion of this programme, participants will have the linguistic and cultural competence that is a prerequisite for oral and written business communication in an appropriate foreign language at B2 level and will be able to conduct business conversations with a business partner in direct contact or on the telephone and to independently read and write business letters that are most commonly used in business correspondence in tourism.
As great attention is paid to communication skills, participants will be able to combine theory and practise through intercultural communication in a business environment.

Upon completion of the programme, participants will earn 3 ECTS credits after passing the final exam and will receive a corresponding certificate from the Faculty of Management in Tourism and Hospitality.
The Lifelong Learning Programme Foreign Languages for Family Accommodation Renters provides training for family accommodation renters to successfully and effectively communicate with guests in foreign languages.
Participants are enabled to develop basic language competences and essential language skills (listening and reading comprehension, oral and basic written communication).
The entire programme focuses on communication skills typical of private accommodation rentals, such as: Getting to know and contacting guests, booking accommodation, describing the accommodation unit and its contents, communicating with guests when providing services in private accommodation, providing basic information about tourist facilities in the region and near destinations, and resolving complaints.
Upon completion of this programme, participants will be able to understand expressions and the most frequently used words in the area of immediate personal interest, provide information about guest accommodation, food and beverage services, shopping facilities, the immediate area and the destination, and understand simple phrases used in communicating with guests in gastronomic establishments and in a travel agency.
