Programme aims

The aim of the training programme for hotel housekeepers is to keep up with the rapid changes in the tourism market by providing additional education and training for staff, especially in the service sector.

The training programme offers the opportunity to acquire theoretical and practical skills in hotel housekeeping management, organisation of business tasks, work techniques, communication and the use of modern IT technologies in everyday business. The programme will enable participants to develop key competences such as problem solving, innovation, creative and critical thinking, but also general skills such as communication, presentation, teamwork and other soft skills.

  • Organise the work processes and responsibilities of the lower and middle management participants in the hotel housekeeping department
  • Apply principles of modern work organisation in the hotel housekeeping department
  • Apply procedures of modern cleaning technologies in hotel housekeeping
  • Plan the financial operations of hotel housekeeping
  • Recognise contemporary trends and standards in the hotel industry and design a quality service with the aim of complete guest satisfaction
  • Communicate appropriately with guests, staff, supervisors and business partners
  • Select appropriate techniques to manage relations with guest
  • Apply ethical principles in hotel housekeeping
  • Manage hotel housekeeping personnel policies
  • Carry out work procedures in a safe and hygienic manner
  • Assess health risks in hotel housekeeping
  • Apply automation of business processes in hotel management
  • Use hotel housekeeping terminology in English
