The course objective
The objective of the course is to get an insight into the professional linguistic knowledge and skills necessary to present a tourist destination
Highlights
- present (through a PPT presentation) any tourist destination by using Croatia as an example,
- make attendants familiar with the most popular tourist regions and destinations with special emphasis on their cultural and historical heritage,
- simulate a guiding tour both within the field and onsite classes
- oral final exam: guiding tour presenting the destination

Day 2 | 7 hours | A guiding tour – Rijeka and Trsat – a bus and walking tour Students simulate a guiding tour supported by a professional guide |
Day 3 | 4 hours | Preparing participants for an individual course assignment Regional diversity through historical, social, and gastronomical perspective Introduction to the field trip to the island of Krk |
Day 4 | 12 hours | A day trip to the island of Krk (Baška, Vrbnik) Students simulate a guiding tour supported by a professional guide Degustation and guiding trip of wine production |
Day 5 | 3 hours | Presentations made by participants Final exam |
