On December 18, 2024, members of the MARINET project team from the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management, Prof. Greta Krešić, Ph. D., and Elena Dujmić, visited the Lim Channel, where they held a meeting with representatives of the Chamber of Crafts and Trades of Istrian Region and the aquaculture producer Istrida d.o.o. The meeting was organized as part of the preparations for the Day of Lim Oysters event, which will take place on March 16, 2025.
The aim of this meeting was to plan a promotional event that forms part of the project activities led by FTHM. Among other activities, the event will include an evaluation of consumer acceptance of oysters from integrated aquaculture. This promotional event aims to raise awareness of oysters as a high quality, nutritionally valuable food product, with a particular focus on the innovative and environmentally sustainable farming methods of integrated aquaculture.
By participating in the organization of this event, the Faculty will make an important contribution to educating consumers about sustainable oyster farming and its nutritional benefits.
