On Thursday, February 19, 2026, the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management successfully held “VR Tourism Day,” an event dedicated to showcasing concrete applications of virtual and augmented reality in tourism.
The focus of the event was the implementation of the innovative VR system “VR Hotelo” at the Faculty library. Following the official presentation, the system became permanently available to students and professors as a valuable tool for learning, research, and the development of future projects.
This is a valuable donation from Mr. Ante Fumić, the founder of XPRG Reality, the company behind the innovative “VR Hotelo” system. The Faculty has recognized the value of this tool, which provides students with direct insight into the latest technologies transforming the tourism industry, and thanks to this donation, the system will permanently enrich the educational process.
The goal of this initiative is to enable continuous use of advanced VR technology in regular classes and independent student work. Through working with the “VR Hotelo” system, a deeper understanding of its practical application in key tourism segments is encouraged, such as hotel operations and destination management.
“VR Tourism Day” once again confirmed the Faculty’s commitment to connecting technology and tourism, providing students with direct experience using modern digital tools that are shaping the future of the industry.
