The Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management, University of Rijeka was delighted to welcome students and lecturers from across Europe for another successful Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) – Enhancing Student Competencies for Career Success.

Organized by Kristina Črnjar and Vedrana Čikeš the programme held in June combined online learning with an intensive on-site week in Croatia bringing together students and lecturers to develop key competencies for future careers while learning from one another in an international environment.

Beyond the classroom, participants had the opportunity to experience learning in practice. During visits to Učka Nature Park and Hilton Rijeka Costabella Beach Resort & Spa they explored leadership, sustainability, and career opportunities in tourism and hospitality. We are especially grateful to Nataša Kovačić Stilinović, Human Resources Director at Hilton Rijeka Costabella, for sharing her expertise and warmly welcoming our group.

This programme is made possible through strong international partnerships, and we sincerely thank our partner universities for their continued trust and collaboration by sending both students and academic staff:

🔹Faculty of Organizational Sciences, University of Maribor (Slovenia)
🔹Vilniaus kolegija Higher Education Institution (Lithuania)
🔹Faculty of Business Administration, Prague University of Economics and Business (Czech Republic)
🔹Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iași (Romania)

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of this year’s programme. A special thank you to all our students for your enthusiasm, collaboration, and international spirit. Seeing you learn and collaborate is what makes programmes like this so rewarding.

We look forward to welcoming a new generation of participants next year!
