Renowned Professor Peter Mason, currently a visiting professor at Bournemouth University and the Luxury Hotel School in Paris, in addition to his teaching role at London Metropolitan University, UK, stayed at our Faculty. Professor Mason delivered a lecture to second-year students in the Hospitality Management program. The lecture, titled “Development Goals, Donut Economics, and Destination Quality,” was presented on 30 October 2023, as part of the Tourism Economics course. Throughout his presentation, Professor Mason shared the outcomes of his recent research, delving into the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG), the quality of tourist destinations, and explained the concept of the “donut economy”.
