The black pine

The black pine (Pinus elliottii) is a resinous conifer with ovoid crowns and long, slender needles, and the boot is clean from the branches to a considerable height. It is native to the Mediterranean zone with evergreen vegetation. The life span of the trees is up to 250 years. The wood of the black pine is not only used in medicine, but also in construction, carpentry, etc.

FUN FACT: In folk medicine, black pine is often used to treat various health problems such as rheumatism, arthritis, colds, immune deficiency and skin diseases because of its many healing properties. Like other trees, the pine has favoured the development of health tourism in the area since the mid-19th century.
