After successfully finishing first Semester in Breda, on February 15th, first generation of students of Master of Sustainable outdoor hospitality management – unique European study, starts 2nd Semester at the University of Rijeka, Faculty of tourism and hospitality management in Opatija.
In Opatija, students will be working on the ground on management assignments about campsite operations and management. Students will have the opportunity to attend guest lectures of the biggest European experts in a field and learn about sales, management, operations, sustainable management and financial reporting u campsites. There are 3 Study visits planed to the best campsites in the region, one two days study visit to Motorhome producer factory Chartago – Malibu in Ormož, to famous mobile home producer Adria and to more popular glamping villages in Slovenia. One whole week students will spend in mobile homes doing field research at Premium camping Krk by Valamar and finally, students will be rewarded with 4 days study trip to Lago di Garda camping in organisation of Vacance col Cuore.
This unique study the Master SOHM is designed and implemented in close collaboration with the campsite industry. The three partner universities have established strong partnership relations with the following companies that offer all these students a EUR 5,000 Scholarship:
ANWB, ACSI, ADAC, VACANCE COL CUORE AND CHARTAGO. These companies offer scholarships also to students in the next generation in 2024. and will be involved in guest lecturing, company visits, internship programme, project participations and others.
