The traditional FMTU Hoteliers’ Ball was held in the Crystal Hall of Hotel Kvarner in Opatija. The event brings together students, staff and friends of the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management every year.
The Hoteliers’ Ball is part of FMTU’s tradition and provides an opportunity for the Faculty community to meet outside the classroom. Held at Hotel Kvarner, one of Opatija’s most recognizable locations, the evening took place in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere.
This year’s programme included a welcome drink, dinner, a raffle and entertainment with a music programme. The attendees were addressed by the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Marko Perić, PhD, who welcomed everyone, emphasized the importance of preserving this tradition and wished all guests an enjoyable evening.
Moments like these highlight the importance of the student experience in shaping future professionals in tourism, hospitality and hotel management. In addition to the knowledge gained through classes, gatherings and experiences outside the classroom form an important part of students’ academic and professional journey, which will continue in the tourism industry.
