Welcome to SITECON!
The final conference of project SITE (Shaping Inclusive Tourist Experience) funded by the Interreg Italy-Croatia 2021-2027 programme SITECON: Shaping Inclusive Tourist Destinations and Societies, organized by the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management, University of Rijeka will take place in Opatija on May 27th 2026.
SITECON is a multidisciplinary conference with aim of bringing together policy makers, practitioners, industry and academics to lay the foundations and find innovative solutions for the development of more inclusive tourism for everyone.Together we will discuss how to make destinations more accessible and welcoming to people with disabilities, families, elderly and everybody else.
We invite researchers, practitioners, tourism stakeholders, designers and architects as well as associations of persons with disabilites to share their experiences, ideas, research and field results and help create more inclusive destinations.
Conference participation is free of charge!
